Marc Lucero
Factory Representative
Marc Lucero brings over 40 years of experience in the fire service, including 34 years on the front lines with one of the nation’s busiest and most active departments in Richmond, California. Throughout his career, Marc earned a reputation not only as a dedicated firefighter, but as an innovator.
He is widely recognized as a pioneer of First-Due camera footage—capturing and sharing real fireground operations long before helmet cams and GoPro technology existed. His forward-thinking mindset and commitment to advancing the fire service have been a constant throughout his career.
Marc retired at the rank of Captain, but his involvement in the fire service continues. He remains active in training at the junior college level, helping shape the next generation of firefighters with the same passion that defined his career.
His commitment to personal protective equipment (PPE) was deeply influenced by a tragic incident on July 7, when firefighters Matt Burton and Scott Desmond were severely burned and killed on the Michelle Drive Incident in San Pablo, CA while conducting a search for victims. That night left a lasting impact on Marc and set him on a path to better understand and advocate for the gear designed to protect those on the front lines.
For the past eight years, Marc has served as the California Sales Manager for MES Fire, specializing in PPE. His work is driven by a profound commitment to firefighter safety and health—rooted in both personal experience and professional expertise.
What sets Marc apart is his unique perspective. Having served as both a frontline firefighter in one of the most demanding environments and as a leader in PPE development, sales, and service, he offers an unmatched ability to guide departments toward the right equipment choices. His depth of knowledge, combined with lived experience, makes him a trusted resource and a true advocate for those who put their lives on the line.
